Help me please, before I see the doc?

I have a birth mark on my back, and its kind of big. It used to be black/brown but I haven't really been paying attention to it, til recently. It has turned red, and gone inward.. it looks like a mosquito bite, but its not itchy, and its not a pimple.. Anyone know what this might be?
