Obscure old webcomic?

There was an infrequently-updated webcomic that I used to read a number of years ago about this heroine who defeated a kind of demon guardian in a dungeon by beating the demon at chess. The demon then became the heroine's protector of sorts, saving her from this giant centipede made of bones and all kinds of other things. I remember, perhaps incorrectly, that the web address was short, and started with the letter k, and I don't think that it had a .com or other "typical" web address ending either. Unfortunately my computer crashed and lost all of my bookmarks but I'd really like to know what happened!
