All of my upper screen bookmarks are gone (Firefox)?

I've had that same problem with the newest Firefox plus having it freeze up for 10 to 15 minutes at a time. I uninstall-ed it and re-installed it several times with the same results. I finally just gave up and got rid of Firefox and am using Internet Explorer 9 with great results.
